Uzbekistan's youth have welcomed Prime Minister Narendra Modi by speaking in Hindi ahead of his state visit to Tashkent.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to travel to Tashkent on Saturday (August 29, 2026) for a two-day state visit to Uzbekistan. Before departing, PM Modi shared a video of Uzbek youth, in which several Uzbek men and women offered a message in Hindi welcoming him to Tashkent. In the video, the Uzbek youth said, "Respected Prime Minister Narendra Modi, welcome to Tashkent. We are eagerly awaiting you."
Praising this video of Uzbek youth, PM Modi said that I am very happy to see how beautifully my young friends of Uzbekistan have expressed their enthusiasm through this video.
The Prime Minister shared the video in the post X.
On Saturday (August 29, 2026), Prime Minister Modi shared a video on the social media platform X, in which Uzbek youth are seen welcoming PM Modi for his visit to Uzbekistan. Notably, the Uzbek youth delivered their welcome message in Hindi, which PM Modi appreciated.
He said, "I am about to begin my trip to Uzbekistan, and I am so happy to see how beautifully my young friends from Uzbekistan have expressed their excitement through this video." He further added, "What makes it even more special is that they have done it in Hindi and have done it so beautifully."
