WhatsApp New Feature: A new feature is coming soon for WhatsApp Status.

WhatsApp New Feature: A new feature is coming to WhatsApp , the new messaging platform from Meta . Once this feature becomes available, users will be able to share their status with selected contacts, similar to Instagram's Close Friends option. Currently, this feature is being tested and has been made available to beta users on Android and iPhone. This means it could be rolled out to other users soon. Let's explore how the new feature will work and what changes it will bring.

How will the new feature work?

This feature allows users to create separate lists for sharing their WhatsApp statuses . These lists can include family, friends, and office colleagues. Based on these lists, users can then select who they want to share their status with.

What will change with the new feature?

Many WhatsApp statuses are ones that people don't want to share with all their contacts, but currently, doing so on WhatsApp is quite cumbersome. This requires either selecting contacts before each update or selecting all contacts and then excluding certain ones. This is a lengthy and cumbersome process. Now, this hassle is about to end. The new feature will give users the option to create a personalized contact list. After this, when posting a status, they will be able to select the people they want to share it with.

Contacts will not know when you update the list.

This feature is considered important from a privacy perspective. When you include or exclude a contact from the list, they will not be aware of it. This entire process will remain private. Once the list is created, it can still be edited.

Paid subscriptions coming soon to WhatsApp

Along with this feature, WhatsApp is also testing its paid subscription, WhatsApp Plus . It has been rolled out in parts of Europe. This plan, priced at approximately ₹300 per month, offers users features like exclusive stickers, the option to pin 20 chats, a new app icon, and special ringtones. It's believed that more features may be added in the future.
