India T20I Squad: Shreyas Iyer named captain; Vaibhav Suryavanshi also named

India T20I Squad for Ireland and England Series 2026: The Indian team for the T20 series against Ireland and England has been announced. Shreyas Iyer is the new captain. Vaibhav Suryavanshi has also been included.

The BCCI has announced the Indian team for the Asian Games, along with the T20 series against Ireland and England. Shreyas Iyer has been appointed the new T20 captain, while Suryakumar Yadav has not been included in the squad. Tilak Verma has been appointed vice-captain. 15-year-old Vaibhav Suryavanshi has earned his first national team call-up, having been included in all three squads.

India vs Ireland T20 Schedule

Following the ODI series against Afghanistan, the Indian team will tour Ireland for a two-match T20I series. The first match will be played on June 26th and the second on June 28th. Both matches will be played in Belfast.

After Ireland, the Indian team will tour England, starting with a five-match T20I series. The first T20I will be played on July 1st at the Riverside Ground. The match will begin at 10:00 PM IST. See the schedule for all five matches.
