How is electricity generated from a bull roaming on the road? Know how much cheaper it is than normal electricity?

These days, bulls are generating electricity at a cow shelter in Lucknow. A unique system has been developed here that converts the mechanical energy generated by the oxen's movement into electrical energy.

The entire world is focusing on clean and green energy these days. This is why there has been a growing interest in solar energy in India recently. Meanwhile, another method of generating electricity has emerged, one that not many people had considered. Now, electricity can be generated from oxen roaming the streets, and this isn't just a theoretical concept. A cow shelter in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, has developed a unique model for generating electricity from oxen. While it may sound strange, electricity is being generated here with the help of oxen.

How is electricity generated from bulls?

According to media reports, former DSP Shailendra Singh, who runs a cowshed in Lucknow 's Siddhpura village, developed this model. It's based on a flywheel, gearbox, and gravity, and converts the energy generated by the oxen's movements into electricity. This model features a large wheel connected to an alternator, which functions like a treadmill. Two oxen are placed on it, fodder is placed in front of them, and they continue to walk in one place while eating the fodder. The alternator converts the mechanical energy generated by their movements into electrical power.

Electricity generated from bulls is cheaper than normal electricity.

The cost of electricity generated by oxen-powered vehicles is significantly lower than electricity from the grid. While the average cost per unit of regular electricity is ₹7, the cost of electricity generated by oxen-powered vehicles is ₹1-1.5. A single ox can generate approximately 5 kilowatts of electricity, and when combined with a solar energy system, it can generate up to 10 kilowatts. According to Shailendra Singh, this system generates 80 units of electricity in 8 hours, meeting the current needs of the cowshed. This model has also been patented.

This system can also be useful for farmers.

This system could prove very useful for farmers. Many farmers keep bulls to work their fields, and now this method can also be used to generate electricity. The electricity generated will easily run irrigation motors, thus saving electricity.
