Given its capabilities, it hasn't been released to the public, but that wait may soon be over. The company has hinted that models like Claude Mythos will soon be rolled out to the public. The company is currently preparing for this, and it will be available to all users within the next few weeks.

On Thursday, Anthropic launched the upgraded Claude Opus 4.8 model. In its announcement, the company stated that it is preparing to launch a Mythos-class model. However, it is not known whether the company will make the Mythos model available to everyone or whether a model similar to the Mythos will be launched.
What's special about the Mythos model?
Anthropic's Mythos model has advanced cybersecurity capabilities and can detect flaws in any software. This has raised cybersecurity concerns. Anthropic is currently testing the model with select companies and has not made it available to the public. Recently, Anthropic stated that no company, including itself, currently has a method to prevent misuse of the model. Governments around the world are also concerned about the model, and many countries, including India, have demanded fair access to it.
Claude Mythos has discovered thousands of flaws in important software.
Thropik says that Cloud Mythos has detected more than 10,000 cybersecurity vulnerabilities in the world's most critical software in a single month. Several companies with access to the model have reported a 10-fold increase in vulnerability detection speed using Cloud Mythos. Internet hosting platform Cloudflare has used the model to find 2,000 bugs in its critical-path system, 400 of which were of high and critical severity. Similarly, Mozilla has found and fixed 271 issues in Firefox.
OpenAI and Google also brought such models.
Other companies have also entered the cybersecurity space to compete with Mythos. OpenAI launched the Daybreak model to compete with it , while Google introduced the AI Threat Defense model .
