CBSE student Vedant Srivastava has expressed support for the Cockroach Janata Party's (CJP) proposed protest. He shared a post on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter) stating that he hopes today's peaceful protest will be a positive step toward ensuring justice, transparency, and accountability. In his post, Vedant Srivastava wrote that students deserve answers, fair treatment, and their voices should be heard. He added that the concerns of affected students regarding education-related issues must be taken seriously.
Vedant Srivastava also expressed hope that this movement will yield positive results for all students affected by these issues. According to him, expressing one's views in a peaceful and democratic manner is every citizen's right, and this could lead to initiatives toward resolving students' issues.
Protest at Jantar Mantar
Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) founder Abhijit Dipke has arrived at Jantar Mantar to join the protest. The protest is demanding the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan over issues related to the education system. Meanwhile, Trinamool Congress Rajya Sabha MP Sagarika Ghosh has also expressed her support for the movement.
Posting on the social media platform X, he wrote, "Best wishes and full support. Keep fighting the right fight." Those participating in the protest say that the Education Minister is accountable to the public. They argue that the government is run by public votes and taxes, so there should be accountability on issues concerning students and youth. Protesters are demanding Dharmendra Pradhan's resignation in support of this demand. This protest by the Cockroach Janata Party has also received support from social activist and former Aam Aadmi Party leader Yogendra Yadav. He arrived at the protest site to encourage the protesters and even recited a poem in their support.
