According to an order issued by the AIIMS administration, Dr. Tandon's appointment has been extended until further notice. Dr. Nikhil Tandon was born in Delhi in 1963. He completed his MBBS and MD from AIIMS, New Delhi. He then went on to pursue higher education at the University of Cambridge, where he earned his PhD. He joined AIIMS as a faculty member in 1993 and has been serving the institute continuously since then. He has extensive experience in medical education, research, and clinical practice.
