Sony's most expensive Walkman, the NW-WM1ZM3, uses 4N oxygen-free copper. The front and back of its body are made from this material and are also gold-plated. The company claims this design helps improve bass, soundstage, and high-frequency audio. It also features Kimber Cable wiring. The main body of the NW-WM1AM3 and NW-ZX900 is made of aluminum alloy, although the back of both models also uses gold-plated oxygen-free copper.
Battery life will be available for up to 40 hours.
The NW-ZX900 leads the pack in terms of battery life. According to the company, it can last up to 40 hours on 128kbps MP3 audio playback. Its battery life is claimed to be up to 35 hours when streaming music. Both the NW-WM1ZM3 and NW-WM1AM3 models can last up to 35 hours on 128kbps MP3 playback and up to 31 hours when streaming music. All three new Sony Signature Series Walkmans are currently available for pre-order in select global markets, though official details about their launch and availability in India have not yet been released.
Audio Technology and Display
All three Walkmans feature Sony's S-Master HX digital amp technology and support for the Native DSD format. They come with Sony's DSD Remastering Engine. The NW-ZX900 features an ultra-low-noise LDO regulator and a crystal oscillator, which are part of the audio player's design. Display-wise, the NW-WM1ZM3 and NW-WM1AM3 feature 5.5-inch screens, while the NW-ZX900 features a 5-inch display. Users can also customize the home screen interface to their liking.

Sony's new Signature Series Walkman range includes three models, each priced differently. The NW-WM1ZM3 is the most expensive, priced at $5,899 in the US and $8,259.99 in Canada. The NW-WM1AM3 is priced at $2,999.99 in the US and $4,199.99 in Canada. The third model, the NW-ZX900, is priced at $1,899.99 in the US and $2,659.99 in Canada. In Indian rupees, these prices are ₹5.60 lakh, ₹2.85 lakh, and ₹1.80 lakh.
