Trump has Air Force One, PM Modi has India One, what does Jinping have?

Xi Jinping VVIP Aircraft: America has special VVIP aircraft like Air Force One and India has India One, but does Chinese President Xi Jinping have such a dedicated aircraft or not?

The Chinese President does not have his own Air Force One

Xi Jinping VVIP Aircraft: US President Donald Trump has Air Force One and Indian PM Narendra Modi has special VVIP aircraft like India One, which are considered the most advanced aircraft in the world in terms of security and technology. Now the question is that Chinese President Xi Jinping may also come to India to attend the BRICS summit to be held in Delhi on September 12-13. If this happens, it will be his first visit to India after the Galwan clash. In such a situation, the question arises that which aircraft does the President of the country with the world's second largest economy have, in which he makes such long journeys.

China does not have a dedicated Air Force One of its own.

Surprisingly, unlike the US and India, China doesn't have a dedicated, permanent VVIP aircraft fleet for Xi Jinping. While the US has a full fleet of dedicated aircraft with the callsign Air Force One, the Chinese president has so far lagged behind in this regard.

Xi Jinping travels on a regular Boeing 747.

Xi Jinping primarily uses a Boeing 747 400 aircraft operated by Air China for his foreign travels, with registration number B 2472. Significantly, this aircraft is not a specially built military or presidential aircraft, but rather an aircraft from Air China's commercial fleet, used for presidential travel when necessary.

It is interesting to use an aircraft made by an American company.

What's most interesting is that the President of China uses a plane manufactured by the American company Boeing for his foreign trips, even though China itself is steadily working towards becoming a major aviation power. This is also noteworthy because China's own aviation industry has yet to develop a VVIP-grade, long-range aircraft that would be considered reliable for presidential travel.

There has been a delay in making Air Force One

For the past few years, there has been talk that China is developing a dedicated VVIP aircraft for its president, which some reports have even called China's own Air Force One. However, this project has been plagued by delays for several years and has not yet been formally deployed for Xi Jinping's travels.

How different is this setup?

India's India One is a Boeing 777 aircraft specially equipped with VVIP security features, missile defense systems, and advanced communication technology, while America's Air Force One has the capability to operate in an emergency situation such as a nuclear attack. In comparison, Xi Jinping's travel on a standard commercial airline aircraft highlights a significant gap in China's current VVIP aviation capabilities.
