Indian bowler creates history by taking 14 wickets in a Test, creating a new 'world record'

Tanmay Baloda: Young Indian spinner Tanmay Baloda has created history by taking 14 wickets in a single Test. He has become the highest wicket-taker in the history of the tournament. A new world record has been set.

Indian spin bowler Tanmay Baloda set a new world record by taking 14 wickets in a single Test. Recently, two unofficial Test matches were played between the Indian and Australian Under-19 teams. In the second match, Tanmay's brilliant bowling led Team India to a one-sided victory. The Indian spinner took six wickets in the first innings and eight in the second.

With 14 wickets, Tanmay became the highest wicket-taker in a Youth Test. He bowled 25 overs in the first innings, taking 6 wickets and conceding just 32 runs. Eleven of those 25 overs were maidens. Thanks to this impressive bowling, Australia were bowled out for 174 in the first innings.

 

Then, in the second innings, Tanmay bowled 19.5 overs, taking 8 wickets for 41 runs. He also bowled 5 maiden overs. Australia were all out for just 151 runs in the second innings.

India got a target of only 11 runs

In the second Test at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, Team India was set a target of just 11 runs. Australia scored 174/10 in the first innings. Team India scored 315/10 in their first innings, taking a 141-run lead. Australia, batting in their second innings, were bowled out for just 151 runs. Thus, India was set a target of just 11 runs to win. In the chase, Team India won by 10 wickets, scoring the runs in just 5 balls.

India won the series 2-0

The Indian team won the series 2-0. In the first Test played in Rajkot, Team India won by an innings and 48 runs. Subsequently, in the match played at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, Team India won by 10 wickets. India dominated both matches. Prior to this, India also won the three-match ODI series 3-0. Team India looked excellent in both formats.
