Neem Karoli Baba: Not just Kainchi Dham- where else in India are the temples of Neem Karoli Baba?

Neem Karoli Baba: Neem Karoli Baba's identity isn't limited to Kainchi Dham alone. While Kainchi Dham is one of his most famous sites, there are also ashrams and temples associated with him in other parts of the country.

Apart from Kainchi Dham, the main ashram of Neeb Karori Baba

Neem Karoli Baba Ashrams Beyond Kainchi Dham: Following the success of 'Hanuman Ansh,' public interest in Neem Karoli Baba is also growing. This effect is also visible at Kainchi Dham in Uttarakhand, where a large number of devotees arrive every weekend. Long queues of vehicles can be seen on the roads leading to Kainchi Dham during long holidays and weekends. In many places, people are forced to disembark their vehicles and proceed on foot, while some families remain stuck in traffic for hours.

The roads from Haldwani to Kainchi Dham and further to Nainital-Almora are also experiencing heavy traffic. Journeys that previously took two to three hours have now been reported to stretch to 10 to 12 hours. Long queues of cars, buses, and two-wheelers were seen around Bhimtal, Bhawali, and Garam Pani. A large number of devotees were also seen outside the ashram. The daily number of devotees visiting Kainchi Dham was initially estimated to be around 4,000 to 5,000, but on some days, it has reached over 6,000. On weekends, this number is reported to be 15,000 to 20,000 or even more.

But Neeb Karori Baba's identity isn't limited to Kainchi Dham alone. Kainchi Dham is certainly one of his most famous sites, but there are also ashrams and temples associated with him in other parts of the country. If you'd like to visit spiritual sites associated with Neeb Karori Baba, you can explore these places in addition to Kainchi Dham. Due to the large crowds, the administration had to make changes to traffic arrangements.

Some vehicles heading towards Kainchi were stopped, and mountain-bound traffic was diverted. Shuttle services were increased from the parking areas in Bhimtal and Bhawali to transport more people to Kainchi Dham using alternative means than vehicles.

Vrindavan Ashram

The Vrindavan Ashram is one of the major places associated with Neeb Karori Baba. This ashram was established in 1967 on the Parikrama Marg near Mathura Road. It is here that Maharajji left his mortal body in 1973. The ashram complex houses temples dedicated to Hanuman, Durga, Sita-Rama, and Shiva. There is also a Mahasamadhi Temple dedicated to Maharajji. A Mahasamadhi Bhandara is held here every September.

In 1973, Maharajji also conducted a nine-day yagya here during Chaitra Navratri. Later, a special temple was built in his memory at the site where his cremation is said to have taken place. The temple's architecture reflects a blend of various architectural styles, including temple, mosque, church, gurudwara, and pagoda.

Neeb Karori Baba Ashram in Delhi

Neeb Karori Baba's Delhi Ashram is also considered one of his most prominent places. Maharajji established this ashram in the summer of 1973, shortly before his Mahasamadhi. Located on Mandi Road near Mehrauli, towards Jonapur, the ashram hosts morning and evening aartis. The ashram's campus is known for its tranquil and lush green surroundings. Devotees wishing to stay here require prior permission and identification.

Kakrighat, Almora

Another important place associated with Neeb Karori Baba is Kakrighat in Uttarakhand. It is located on the banks of the Kosi River between Almora and Ranikhet. Kakrighat has been associated with many saints. In addition to Neeb Karori Baba, Sombari Baba, Punjabi Baba, and Swami Vivekananda are also mentioned as having visited and meditated here. Swami Vivekananda is said to have meditated under a peepal tree here in 1890. For Neeb Karori Baba, Kakrighat was also a place of meditation and spiritual practice for a long time. The tranquil atmosphere on the riverbank makes it a place distinct from other crowded places.
