How to learn coding with the help of AI?
The India AI Impact Summit 2026, currently underway in New Delhi, showcased the power of AI in coding learning. The five-day summit, which began on February 16th, showcased a number of AI tools and platforms that are making coding learning easy, fun, and fast. Held at the Bharat Mandapam event, representatives from the government, companies, and startups highlighted how AI is now opening up the world of coding not just for programmers, but also for beginners, students, and non-coders.
Codex is very useful
OpenAI's Codex was the most talked-about product. OpenAI's booth highlighted Codex, a tool that transforms coding with AI. The tool generates complete code based on commands in natural language – for example, saying "create a website where a user can log in" generates complete HTML, CSS, and JavaScript code. Beginners can build apps without having to memorize syntax. Demos showed it also performs error fixing, code optimization, and debugging. This can increase the speed of students learning to code by 10 times and save time for professional developers.
This AI is education focused.
Tech Mahindra's AI Tutor for Physics and Coding was a major showcase in the education sector. Tech Mahindra showcased an education-focused AI tutor that teaches Physics from classes 6 to 12 but has coding integration. It is multilingual, meaning it explains things in Hindi, Tamil, Bengali, etc. When students describe a problem, the AI provides a step-by-step code solution. The demo showed that if asked to create a program that calculates gravity, Python code is provided, along with an explanation. This tool provides personalized learning. If a student makes a mistake, the AI guides them.
Does coding in Indian languages
Soket AI's Eka Language Stack is a revolutionary tool for coding in Indian languages. It supports over 45 Indian languages. The summit showcased an app called "Make an app in Hindi," which, when asked to tell the weather, generates complete AI code. It doesn't just translate, but also performs reasoning and coding in Indian languages. This allows even non-English speakers to learn coding. Soket AI stated that it is being developed under the Bharat AI program and will launch soon.
These tools also made headlines.
TCS's AI Hackathon and No-Code Tools also garnered considerable attention. These include voice-first, multilingual tools that generate code simply by listening to audio. No coding knowledge is required, and AI provides step-by-step guidance. These tools are no-code platforms that teach problem-solving through AI, making coding learning easier.
Jio Shiksha and AI Shiksha Platforms also offer personalized learning through AI. They include coding modules in which an AI tutor adjusts the course to the student's pace. Demos showed children learning and practicing programming concepts. They are multilingual and focus on free access.
