Shardiya Navratri 2025: The festival of Navratri has begun across the country. This year, it will continue until October 2nd. Crowds of devotees have already gathered everywhere with the start of Navratri. Devotees also arrived at the Maa Dukhbhanjani Temple in Ambala, where they installed the idol and performed the aarti.
Temple priest Pankaj Sharma said that all the wishes of devotees who come to the temple with devotion are fulfilled. Several programs are organized for devotees on different days of Navratri.
For example, on the third day of Navratri, the Mother Goddess will be bathed in milk, and kheer prasad will be prepared from that milk and distributed. On the eighth day, a drawing competition will be held for children.
Devotees reached Ambala Dukh Bhanjani Mata Temple.
Today is the first day of Sharad Navratri, and Navratri holds special significance in Hinduism. According to ancient traditions, devotees of the Mother Goddess express their faith in her by fasting during these Navratris.
The Dukh Bhanjani Mata Temple in Ambala is thronged with devotees on the first day of Navratri. Explaining the significance of Navratri, the temple priest said, "The nine days of Navratri are celebrated with great pomp and show at the temple, and the temple's flame is brought together with the sacred Siddha Peeth."
A procession of the Mother Goddess will be taken out in a palanquin.
This time too, the flame was matched with the Mata Bala Sundari Siddha Peeth. This tradition has been going on for many years, and on the third day of Navratri, the Mother Goddess is bathed in milk and Panchamrit.
After this, the Mother is seated in a palanquin, and a procession is taken out and on the day of Saptami, the devotees light the eternal flame and on the day of Ashtami, there is a drawing, mehndi and dance competition for the children.
Yagya is performed on the last day of Navratri on the day of Navami. Today, on the first day of Navratri, devotees have worshipped Maa Shailputri and installed Kalash in their homes and enthroned the Maa.
