Instagram AI Video Assistant
Creating videos for social media is no longer just about shooting and editing. Data on how many people are watching a video, how long they are watching, how many people have shared or liked it, and what type of content is resonating with audiences are all crucial for creators. Instagram is now using AI to help creators understand this data.
Meta has introduced a new AI Creative Assistant in its Edits app, which will provide creators with personalized suggestions based on their Instagram account data and performance. Let's explore how this new feature for Instagram creators works.
How will Instagram's AI Assistant work?
The new AI Assistant will provide general advice and respond based on the creator's own Instagram data. It can look at metrics like the account's following, views, video retention, likes, and shares. It will also take into account trends on Instagram and the preferences of the creator's audience. Based on this data, the AI can identify patterns in content performance over time. This can provide creators with insights that may be difficult to understand based on statistics alone.
What will creators be able to ask AI?
This Edits feature allows creators to ask a variety of questions, such as what's currently trending on Instagram, why a video performed well or why another didn't perform as well as expected, and also to learn what content resonated with their audience the most. AI can also be asked for suggestions on content ideas, better video opening hooks, captions, trending audio, and video scripts.
How was this tool created?
Meta worked with several creators to develop this AI tool. During the discussions, the creators explained that they didn't want an AI that would create all the content for them. They needed a tool that would understand and accurately analyze the data behind their content. Therefore, this AI analyzes the performance of creators' videos and posts to provide useful suggestions. However, the creators themselves make the final decisions about what changes to make to the content or how to progress the video.
There is also a limit on using AI features
The new AI feature in Instagram Edits will initially be available for free to creators, but usage will be limited. For heavy users, additional usage will be available through a Meta One subscription.
