If you're planning a trip to Kerala, this 7-night, 8-day package from IRCTC covers Kochi, Munnar, Thekkady, Kumarakom, and Trivandrum. This trip includes a hotel stay and a houseboat stay.
This package is scheduled to travel from November 25, 2026, to December 2, 2026. The journey will begin with a flight from Bhopal to Kochi, and return via a flight from Trivandrum to Bhopal. Day 1: Bhopal to Kochi
The journey begins with a morning Indigo flight from Bhopal Airport. Arriving in Kochi around 2:15 PM, you will be transferred from the airport to the hotel. In the evening, you will have the opportunity to explore Marine Drive, Kochi. This will be followed by dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Day 2: Kochi to Munnar
After breakfast, check out of the hotel and depart for Munnar by road. You'll have the opportunity to visit the Cheyyapara Waterfall along the way. Upon arrival in Munnar, you'll check in at the hotel. In the evening, you'll visit the Tea Museum. Afterward, you'll have the option of attending a cultural program at Punarjani, for which tickets and entry are separate.
Day 3: Visit to Munnar
After breakfast, you'll visit Eravikulam National Park, Mattupetty Dam, Echo Point, and Kundala Lake in Munnar. The rest of the time is free to spend at your own pace. Overnight stay will be at a hotel in Munnar.
Day 4: Munnar to Thekkady
After breakfast, check out from Munnar and depart for Thekkady. After check-in at the hotel, you will have the option of boating in the Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary in the afternoon. Boating costs are not included in the package. Passengers wishing to participate in the boating journey must confirm in advance to ensure ticket availability.
Day 5: Thekkady to Kumarakom and houseboat stay
After breakfast, depart for Kumarakom. Transfer to a houseboat. Lunch will be served on the houseboat, followed by a cruise through the backwaters. The cruise will run from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM and again from 3:00 PM to 5:30 PM. Afterward, the houseboat will dock at a designated location. Overnight stays will be on the houseboat.
Day 6: Kumarakom to Trivandrum
After breakfast, disembark the houseboat and depart for Trivandrum. En route, you will visit the Jatayu Earth Centre, Kovalam Beach, and the Ajimala Shiva Temple. Afterward, you will check in at a hotel in Trivandrum for dinner and overnight.
Day 7: Padmanabhaswamy Temple and Zoo
You will depart for Sri Padmanabhaswamy Temple around 5 a.m. A dress code is mandatory here. For men, the upper garment is a dhoti or pyjama, and for women, a sari and blouse or churidar with an upper garment. After returning to the hotel and having breakfast, you will visit the Thiruvananthapuram Zoo. This will be followed by a return to the hotel, dinner, and overnight stay.
Day 8: Return to Bhopal from Trivandrum
After breakfast, check out of the hotel and head to Trivandrum Airport. From there, take the return flight to Bhopal.
