Gemini Find Hub Feature

Forgetting where you left your keys, forgetting where you left your passport, and taking a long time to find an important item are common daily problems. Now, Google has introduced several new features for Android users, addressing these small but important needs.

As part of the September Android Drop, the company announced the integration of Gemini with Find Hub, allowing users to remember the location of important items without a tracker. Features like reducing motion sickness and using the camera to help sense objects while using the phone in a moving vehicle have also been added.

The most important thing about Google's new feature is that it doesn't require the item to have a tracker tag attached. Users will be able to tell Gemini where they've kept their passport, spare keys, or other important items. If necessary, a photo of the location can also be sent to Gemini. This information will be saved in the Remembered Items section of Google's Find Hub. If they need the item later, users can view the item's saved location by asking Gemini or going to Find Hub.

This feature will be available on Android 16

This feature will be available on devices running Android 16 or newer. However, it will only be available in countries where both Gemini and Find Hub are supported.

Gemini Live में Guided Vision

For blind and vision-impaired users, Gemini Live is now adding a Guided Vision feature. This feature will help them understand their surroundings. By sharing the camera, Gemini will be able to visualize surrounding objects and provide audio information. This feature can be used to understand small print on food packages, restaurant menus, or household items. This feature will be available on phones running Android 9 and later, where Gemini is supported.

Motion Assist feature in Android 17

Google has also introduced the Motion Assist feature for Android 17. It aims to reduce motion sickness when using a phone in a moving vehicle. Once the feature is turned on, visual bubbles will appear on the phone screen that move in response to the vehicle's motion. Users will also be able to change the size, color, and transparency of these prompts. Motion Assist can be set to activate automatically or can also be turned on from Quick Settings.
