Following the complaint, Amul expressed concern over the customer's distress and vowed to investigate the matter thoroughly. The company also requested the customer's contact number, home address, and the store or outlet where the yogurt was purchased to gather further information.

The company also stated that the matter will be investigated based on available information. Amul has previously maintained that its dairy products comply with the quality standards set by the FSSAI.

How did the matter reach FSSAI?

Following the customer's complaint, the matter was escalated to the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI). FSSAI then advised the complainant to contact the Food Safety Commissioner of their respective state. They also advised them to use the Food Safety Connect app to officially file a food safety complaint.
