In this context, Xiaomi recently launched its new Redmi Note 17 Pro Max 5G smartphone in select global markets. It's worth noting that this phone features a 10,000mAh silicon-carbon battery for the first time. While this phone hasn't yet launched in India, reports suggest it could launch on September 15th.
Camera Setup
Talking about the camera setup of this smartphone, it is believed that it will have a 50MP primary camera, an 8MP ultrawide camera, and a 32MP front camera.
Additionally, this phone's biggest highlight is its battery. Globally, the Redmi Note 17 Pro Max 5G features a 10,000mAh silicon-carbon battery. It's believed that the model launching in India will also feature a similar battery, providing long-lasting backup.
How will the features be
According to reports, this smartphone will feature a 6.83-inch AMOLED panel with support for a refresh rate of up to 120Hz. It will also be protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2.
Speaking of the processor, the Redmi Note 17 Pro Max 5G will feature a Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 processor, as the device launched globally also features the same processor. Furthermore, the model launching in India is expected to feature 8GB of RAM and 512GB of storage.
Talking about software, the smartphone will run on Xiaomi's HyperOS 16 based on Android 3.
How much will it cost?
It's worth noting that the company launched the model in Japan at JPY 79,980 (approximately Rs. 47,900) for the 8GB+256GB storage model. The 8GB+512GB model is priced at JPY 99,980. Therefore, this phone could be launched in India in the same price range.
Will compete with Samsung Galaxy S26
It's worth noting that this Xiaomi smartphone could compete with the Samsung Galaxy S26 in India. This Samsung phone features a dynamic AMOLED display and a 4300mAh battery. It also features a 50-megapixel primary camera and a 12-megapixel front camera. The phone runs on the Android 16 operating system. Currently, it's available online for ₹87,749.
