Liam Livingstone IPL 2026 Auction Price: After going unsold in the first round of the auction, Liam Livingstone was bought by Sunrisers Hyderabad in the second round.

After going unsold in the first round of the IPL 2026 auction, Liam Livingstone was acquired by Sunrisers Hyderabad in the second round. SRH bid ₹13 crore for him. Lucknow Super Giants also wanted to acquire Livingstone, but their purse ran out of cash. KKR, SRH, and Lucknow Super Giants were competing to acquire Livingstone, but ultimately, the Hyderabad franchise won.

Livingstone's base price was ₹2 crore (20 million rupees), and he went unsold in the first round. When his name was called in the second round, KKR made the first bid, but dropped out after bidding ₹2.80 crore (28 million rupees). Gujarat Titans then tried their luck at ₹4 crore (40 million rupees), but they didn't have much left in their purse.

After that, a fierce competition began between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Lucknow Super Giants to acquire Livingstone. Lucknow went as far as 12.80 crore rupees, but due to insufficient funds in their purse, they too were eliminated from the race. Finally, Kavya Maran's Sunrisers Hyderabad added Livingstone to their squad with a bid of 13 crore rupees.

Livingstone had a poor IPL 2025 season, scoring just 112 runs in eight innings for Royal Challengers Bangalore. He managed just two wickets throughout the season.

In his 49-match IPL career, Livingstone has scored 1,051 runs and taken 13 wickets. It's worth noting that Livingstone's T20 form has picked up pace since the conclusion of the IPL 2025 season. While captaining Birmingham Phoenix in The Hundred League, he scored 241 runs at a strike rate of 155.48. Last season, he took seven wickets and scored 260 runs in the T20 Blast tournament.
