Not eating for long periods can increase stress hormones, which put additional strain on the liver. Skipping breakfast forces the liver to work harder to maintain blood sugar balance. If this happens daily, the liver constantly operates in "emergency mode." If you don't feel hungry in the morning, have something light, like a boiled egg, soaked almonds, or lukewarm lemon water with some chia seeds.
