With the World Cup schedule revealed, the challenges facing Pakistan have become clear. The team will face teams like India, Australia, and Afghanistan in the group stage. Additionally, hosts Zimbabwe and a qualifier will be in this group. Therefore, it will be crucial for Pakistan to perform well in every match from the start.

Group A for the 2027 World Cup consists of India, Australia, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Zimbabwe, and Qualifier A. Pakistan will open its campaign against Afghanistan on October 8th. They will face India just two days later on October 10th in Johannesburg.

Pakistan will then play Qualifier A on October 15, Zimbabwe on October 19, and Australia on October 22. This means the team will face five group matches, each of which will be crucial for progress to the next round.

This is how you will get the ticket for the next round.

The 2027 World Cup will feature 14 teams, and the format has been changed. The three lowest-ranked qualifiers will first play in a Super Series, with the top team advancing to the group stage.

The 12 teams will then be divided into two groups of six each. Each team will play one match against the remaining five teams in its group. The top three teams from each group will advance directly to the Super 7. Additionally, the team with the best record among the fourth-placed teams in each group will also be included.

There will be no benefit in the Super 7.

If Pakistan makes it past the group stage, they will have to start all over again in the Super 7s. Group stage points will not carry over to this round. The Super 7s will feature seven teams playing each other, with each team having six matches.

Pakistan has been seeded A3 for the Super 7. India, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, England, and Sri Lanka have also been pre-seeded for this stage. However, the teams that advance to the Super 7 will be determined by the results of the group stage.

It is necessary to stay in the top-4 for the semi-finals.

After the Super 7, the top four teams will advance to the semi-finals. This means that Pakistan will first need to clear the group stage and then deliver consistent results in the Super 7. Therefore, it will be crucial for the team not only to win the big matches but also to perform consistently throughout the tournament.
