Pakistan fast bowler Hasan Ali is once again in the headlines. He has apologized for his 'King will do it' comment for Babar Azam in 2023. Hasan called Babar 'King' on a podcast just before the ODI World Cup 2023 and this clip went viral all over social media. Now Hasan Ali has apologized for his statement while talking to journalists.
Former Pakistan captain Babar Azam has had a difficult time both as a player and captain. Under his leadership, Pakistan performed disappointingly in consecutive ODIs and T20 World Cups. Recently, Hasan recalled his viral comment during a press conference for the Pakistan Super League and said that if people feel that he has made a mistake by saying so, then he apologizes for it.
In the viral video of the press conference, Hasan said, "If people think that saying 'King will not do' will make Babar score runs, then I am happy to say that. But in the past people have said that a lot has happened. I can show you what people have said. He is our product. If you think I made a mistake by saying 'King will do', then I apologize, but the statement is the same. He was the best, is the best and will be back soon. Everyone has to go through tough times."
Meanwhile, the Karachi Kings bowler has had a great start to his Pakistan Super League campaign. Hasan has taken five wickets in the first two matches of the tournament. He bowled a brilliant spell of 4/28 against Lahore Qalandars in the second match and also scored 27 (25) runs. However, despite his brilliant effort, his team had to face defeat and the Qalandars won the match by 65 runs. After this defeat, they are fourth in the points table with one win from two matches. Their next match will be against Quetta Gladiators on 18th April.
