In which Lahore Qalandars won. After this match, the Pakistani journalist asked a question by comparing IPL and PSL. On which Sam Billings, while playing in Pakistan, silenced the Pakistani journalist and said that IPL is better than all the leagues in the world. 

What did Sam Billings say on the equality of PSL with IPL?

English wicketkeeper batsman Sam Billings is currently a part of the Pakistan Super League 2025. Where he is playing for Lahore Qalandars. On Tuesday, when Sam Billings appeared for the press conference after the match between Lahore Qalandars and Karachi Kings, a journalist asked him a question about choosing between IPL and PSS. To which he gave such an answer that the journalist was left speechless. Sam Billings said that 

You want me to say something stupid? It is difficult to think of any league in the world as the premier one than the IPL. Every other competition is behind the IPL. You know in England we try to do something like the PSL to become the second best competition in the world. The Big Bash League is also trying to do the same.

Before Sam Billings, Davis Warner was also asked a similar question

This is not the first time such a question has been asked during the Pakistan Super League 2025. Before Sam Billings, a journalist had asked a similar question to Australian veteran player Davis Warner. Even then Warner had silenced the journalist with his answer. When Karachi Kings captain Davis Warner was asked about the hatred he is getting from Indian fans for playing PSS, he said that he is hearing such a thing for the first time. David Warner said that 

'This is the first time I heard such a thing. From my point of view, I want to play cricket. I got a chance to play in PSL here. My international calendar did not allow me to come to PSL due to time. I want to compete now. I am captaining Karachi Kings and hopefully we will win the trophy'.

How is the PSL tournament going

Pakistan Super League 2025 started on 11 April. 7 matches of this season have been played. Among all the 6 teams participating in the tournament, Islamabad United has secured the number-1 position in the points table with three consecutive wins. The tournament started after IPL 2025 and the final match will be played on 18 May.
