LPG Cylinder Prices Today: Domestic Rates Stay Unchanged as Commercial LPG Remains Cheaper After Recent Cut

LPG Price Today: Check the Latest Domestic and Commercial Cylinder Rates in Your City

LPG Price Today, July 6, 2026: There is no change in the price of domestic LPG cylinders across India today, despite a recent decline in global crude oil prices. Many households were expecting relief after commercial LPG cylinder prices were reduced earlier this month, but oil marketing companies have kept household cooking gas rates unchanged for now.

While commercial users benefited from the latest revision effective July 1, domestic consumers will have to continue paying the existing prices until the next official review. The decision comes even as international crude oil prices continue to soften, raising hopes of possible reductions in fuel prices in the coming weeks.

Domestic LPG Prices Remain Stable

The price of a 14.2 kg domestic LPG cylinder has remained unchanged in major cities. In the national capital, Delhi, consumers continue to pay ₹942 for a household LPG cylinder.

Commercial LPG users, however, received relief after the price of the 19 kg commercial cylinder was reduced earlier this month. Following the revision, the commercial cylinder price in Delhi stands at ₹2,930.

Although the reduction has benefited restaurants, hotels, and other commercial establishments, residential consumers are still waiting for a similar price revision.

Crude Oil Prices Continue to Ease

International crude oil prices moved lower on Monday, driven by improved shipping activity through the Strait of Hormuz and increased production plans announced by the OPEC+ alliance.

Brent crude has slipped below $72 per barrel, while West Texas Intermediate (WTI) is trading around $68 per barrel. Analysts attribute the decline to expectations of higher global supply after OPEC+ decided to raise output beginning in August.

The easing of geopolitical tensions affecting shipping routes has also improved market sentiment, contributing to lower crude prices worldwide.

Why Domestic LPG Prices Have Not Fallen Yet

Even though crude oil prices have declined, retail LPG prices in India do not change immediately. Fuel pricing depends on several factors, including:

  • Cost of previously imported LPG cargoes
  • International benchmark prices
  • Freight and transportation expenses
  • Exchange rate movements
  • Inventory already held by oil marketing companies
  • Government pricing policies

Since the LPG currently being supplied was largely procured when global prices were higher, companies generally wait until lower-cost inventory begins entering the supply chain before revising retail prices.

Could LPG Prices Be Reduced Soon?

Market experts believe that if international crude oil prices remain at current levels or decline further over the next few weeks, Indian consumers could see some relief later in July or during August.

However, any decision regarding LPG price revisions will depend on the pricing review conducted by the country's oil marketing companies. A sustained fall in crude oil prices, combined with stable global supply conditions, would improve the likelihood of lower domestic LPG rates.

Until then, household consumers will continue to pay existing prices, while commercial users benefit from the recent reduction announced earlier this month.

What Consumers Should Watch

Consumers should keep an eye on the monthly price revisions announced by oil marketing companies. Since LPG prices are reviewed periodically, future changes will largely depend on international crude oil trends, import costs, currency fluctuations, and overall market conditions.

For now, domestic LPG cylinder prices remain unchanged across major cities, while commercial cylinders continue to reflect the latest price cut implemented at the beginning of July.
