What ingredients are required to make jackfruit biryani?
To make jackfruit biryani, you need a few simple yet aromatic ingredients that enhance the dish's flavor. It primarily requires chopped jackfruit and parboiled rice, which form the base of the biryani. Along with this, you need onions, ginger-garlic paste, green chilies, and coriander leaves, spices like coriander powder, cumin powder, black pepper, red chili powder, and garam masala, as well as cashews, almonds, and saffron.
How to make jackfruit biryani at home?
1. To make jackfruit biryani at home, first heat oil in a pan and fry the chopped onions till they turn golden, then take them out and keep them aside.
2. Now add some oil in the same pan and fry the jackfruit well until it becomes light golden, then take it out separately.
3. Now lightly fry the cashew nuts and almonds so that their taste increases further.
4. Now, add some oil to the pan and add the roasted jackfruit. Then, add the fried onions. Add the red chili powder, cumin powder, black pepper, green chilies, saffron, and salt. Mix everything well, then add the ginger-garlic paste and lemon juice.
5. Now add some water to it and let it cook on low flame for 15-20 minutes, so that the masala gets prepared well.
6. Now take a pan and first put a layer of rice in it, then a layer of jackfruit masala, now again rice and then masala, finally put a layer of rice on top.
7. Add saffron, cashews, almonds, and fried onions. Cover the pan and simmer for 15-20 minutes.
8. When the biryani is ready, sprinkle green coriander on top and serve hot.
