IPL 2026 Trade Players List: The BCCI has confirmed that Ravindra Jadeja will play for the Rajasthan Royals in the upcoming season. Sanju Samson has joined CSK. A total of eight players have changed teams via trade.

The auction for IPL season 19 will take place in December. Before that, the retention lists of all 10 teams will be released this evening. It will become clear which teams have released and retained which players. For some time, there have been reports regarding Ravindra Jadeja and Sanju Samson that they could be exchanged through a trade deal, with Jadeja joining Rajasthan and Samson joining Chennai. Now, the BCCI has confirmed this. The IPL has released the official trade list, which details a total of eight players and their prices.

Ravindra Jadeja (joined RR from CSK)

All-rounder and former Chennai Super Kings (CSK) captain Ravindra Jadeja will represent Rajasthan Royals (RR) in the upcoming IPL season, according to a statement from the IPL. Jadeja played for CSK for 12 seasons, and this is being touted as the biggest trade deal in IPL history. His salary in IPL 2026 will be ₹14 crore (approximately $18 crore) compared to ₹18 crore (approximately $140 million) at CSK.

Sanju Samson (joined CSK from RR)

Rajasthan Royals captain and Indian wicketkeeper-batsman Sanju Samson will play for Chennai Super Kings in IPL 2026, with a price tag of ₹18 crore (approximately $1.8 billion). Samson has played 177 IPL matches. CSK will be his third franchise in his career. Samson, who made his IPL debut in 2013, previously played for the Delhi Capitals before joining Rajasthan.

Sam Curran (joined RR from CSK)

England all-rounder Sam Curran has joined the Rajasthan Royals (RR) from the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) following a successful trade. His fee will remain at ₹2.4 crore (approximately $2.4 million). The 27-year-old has played 64 IPL matches. Prior to Chennai, Samson played for Punjab Kings. Rajasthan will be his third IPL team.

Mohammed Shami (joined LSG from SRH)

Veteran Indian fast bowler Mohammed Shami has joined the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) after a successful trade from Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH). Shami was bought for ₹10 crore in the previous edition, and he has joined the Lucknow Super Giants for the same price. Prior to Hyderabad, Shami was with the Gujarat Titans, where he won the Purple Cap in 2023 by taking 28 wickets in 17 matches.

Mayank Markande (joins MI from KKR)

Leg-spinner Mayank Markande has returned to his former franchise, the Mumbai Indians (MI), after a successful trade from the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). He was acquired by KKR for ₹30 lakh (30 lakh rupees), and he has joined MI for the same price.

Markande began his IPL career playing for the Mumbai Indians. After representing Mumbai in 2018, 2019, and 2022, he played for the Rajasthan Royals in 2021 and for the Sunrisers Hyderabad in 2023 and 2024.

Arjun Tendulkar (joined LSG from MI)

Bowling all-rounder Arjun Tendulkar will represent the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in IPL 2026 following a successful transfer from the Mumbai Indians. Arjun joined LSG at his current fee of ₹30 lakh. Selected by Mumbai in the 2021 auction, Arjun made his IPL debut in 2023, having not played a single match in the previous edition.

Nitish Rana (joined DC from RR)

Left-handed batsman Nitish Rana has joined the Delhi Capitals (DC) via a trade from the Rajasthan Royals (RR). He has joined the Delhi franchise at his current fee of ₹4.2 crore.

Donovan Ferreira (joins RR from DC),

All-rounder Donovan Ferreira has joined his former franchise, Rajasthan Royals (RR), via a trade from Delhi Capitals (DC). According to the transfer agreement, his fee has increased from ₹75 lakh to ₹1 crore.
