Bangladesh Cricketer Nayeem Hasan Attacked: Bangladesh cricketer Nayeem Hasan has been assaulted. The cricketer has filed charges against the police.

A Bangladeshi cricketer made allegations.
A strange incident has emerged from Bangladesh. All-rounder Nayeem Hasan has accused the police of assault. The incident reportedly occurred in Chittagong, where Hasan was attacked on Friday night. The Bangladesh cricket community has expressed strong condemnation over this incident. Hasan made his Test debut for Bangladesh in 2018, but has not played ODIs or T20s.
Nayeem Hasan, 26, said he was returning home from Dhaka airport after playing a division cricket match. He was riding in an auto-rickshaw when police officers stopped the auto-rickshaw near the Lalkhan Bazaar area of Chittagong.
Nayeem alleged that police officers mistreated him without explanation and even attempted to strangle him. The cricketer said he was then forcibly taken to the police station in a separate auto-rickshaw. Neighbors said Nayeem had previously played for the Bangladesh national cricket team, but the police officers ignored him.
He further said, "The police beat me severely with a plastic pipe and a stick. When I identified myself, the station in charge asked me to speak with my eyes downcast. If he had been a police officer, he would have taken me in a police jeep instead of a CNG auto-rickshaw. I demand a fair investigation and justice in this entire matter."
Nayeem returned home on Saturday morning. Following these allegations, Bangladesh veteran cricketer Mushfiqur Rahim has also come forward in support of Nayeem. The Bangladesh Cricket Board has also expressed concern over the incident and promised an impartial investigation.
