Copper will become as expensive as gold! The crisis deepens; a mine is built every 16 years.

While rising gold prices are troubling people, it now appears that copper will face the same fate. Goldman Sachs has predicted that the copper crisis could deepen in the coming days.
Like gold, copper prices will also rise rapidly.
Gold prices have been steadily rising over the past few years, reaching sky-high levels. The impact is rapidly being felt by the public. Now, another metal is poised to rise just like gold. This metal is copper, whose prices are set to rise sharply in the coming times. This isn't our assertion, but a Goldman Sachs report has revealed this.
According to Goldman Sachs, it takes approximately 16 years to build a copper mine, and these mines are dwindling. This is impacting the supply of copper. Consequently, the copper crisis is expected to deepen in the future.
What did the report reveal?
According to a Goldman Sachs report, it now takes more than 16 years from the discovery of a copper mine to the start of first production. This is because existing mines are expected to see a decline in production by 2030. Therefore, simply increasing prices will not increase supply within the investment period.
The shortage is structural.
The Goldman Sachs report states, "The copper supply shortage is structural, not cyclical. This will be primarily driven by price, and the market will gradually place greater value on copper companies and development assets that are difficult, expensive, and time-consuming to replicate."
The report also highlights the decline in major copper discoveries
since the 1990s. Ore grades (ore quality) have also declined, particularly in South America. Furthermore, new projects are now being undertaken in remote locations, leading to increased construction, operation, and costing costs.
