Most Wickets for a Single Team in IPL: The excitement of IPL 2026 begins in about a week. The Indian Premier League began in 2008, and since then, new records have been set and broken year after year. IPL matches typically boast high scores, but cricket is not just a game for batsmen, but also for bowlers.
Very few players have played 100 or more matches for a single team in the IPL. Here's a list of bowlers who have taken the most wickets for a single team in the Indian Premier League.
Most wickets for a team
Sunil Narine holds the record for most wickets taken for a single team in the history of the Indian Premier League. He played 192 matches for Kolkata Knight Riders from 2012 to 2025, taking 192 wickets. Second on this list, and first on the list for Indians, is Jasprit Bumrah, who has taken 183 wickets while playing for Mumbai Indians.
Sri Lankan legendary bowler Lasith Malinga took 170 wickets for Mumbai Indians in his IPL career. Malinga has now retired. Bhuvneshwar Kumar has established a different legacy for Sunrisers Hyderabad, taking 157 wickets for SRH.
