Prior to this visit, Macron met with prominent figures in the arts and culture. This included several Bollywood stars, including Anil Kapoor and Manoj Bajpayee.

PM Modi and Macron met
A bilateral meeting took place between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and French President Emmanuel Macron at Lok Bhavan in Mumbai. The two leaders then held a joint press conference. PM Modi posted on Instagram, "It was a pleasure meeting President Macron. He told me he loved the city and also enjoyed his run this morning."
