Women's Asia Cup 2026: After India and Sri Lanka, Pakistan has also secured a place in the semi-finals of the Women's Asia Cup 2026. Pakistan and Sri Lanka will face each other in the semi-finals.

Pakistan has become the third team to advance to the semi-finals of the Women's Asia Cup 2026. In its final group match, Pakistan defeated Hong Kong by 72 runs. India and Sri Lanka also advanced to the final four. Batting first in Monday's match, Pakistan scored 143 runs, but Hong Kong's team was bowled out for just 71 runs.
For Hong Kong, Joyleen Kaur took four wickets for just 19 runs in four overs, while Iqra Sahar also bowled brilliantly, taking two wickets. Despite this, Pakistan managed only 143 runs. When it came to chasing the target, Nashra Sandhu single-handedly took six wickets. Sandhu dismissed six batsmen in four overs, giving away just seven runs.

Pakistan secured a semi-final berth with a 72-run victory over Hong Kong. Pakistan won two of their three group stage matches to advance to the final four. Pakistan and Sri Lanka will now face each other in the second semi-final of the Asia Cup, which will take place on September 11th.
On the other hand, the Indian team has already secured its place in the first semi-final. Team India's opponent in the first semi-final will be decided after the Bangladesh vs. UAE match. Whoever wins today will become the fourth team to advance to the semi-finals of the Women's Asia Cup 2026.

India-Pakistan match possible in the final
Both India and Pakistan have reached the semi-finals of the Women's Asia Cup 2026. Team India comprehensively defeated Pakistan in the group stage match. All of Pakistan's batsmen were dismissed for 55, and India achieved the target in just 8.4 overs. Now, if India and Pakistan win their respective semi-finals, they could face off in the final on September 13th.
India is a seven-time Asia Cup champion. However, it suffered a crushing 8-wicket defeat at the hands of Sri Lanka in the 2024 final. India has always reached the final of the Women's Asia Cup. Pakistan, on the other hand, has only reached the final twice. In both the 2012 and 2016 Asia Cups, Pakistan lost to India in the finals.
