In India, the price of a 14.2 kg domestic LPG cylinder remains stable today. However, rates vary across different states and cities due to local taxes; prices may be slightly higher in some places and lower in others.
With the festive season underway—including major festivals like Diwali and Chhath—people are keeping a close watch on cooking gas prices. Whether you are booking a domestic LPG cylinder or running a restaurant, hotel, or catering business, staying informed about current LPG prices will help you manage your expenses.
As of today, Friday, October 30, domestic cooking gas prices remain unchanged. However, commercial LPG cylinders continue to be expensive following a price hike earlier this month. In Delhi, a 19 kg commercial LPG cylinder is priced at ₹2,810, while in Mumbai, it costs ₹2,764.50. Meanwhile, a 14.2 kg domestic cylinder is priced at ₹939.50 in Delhi and ₹941.50 in Mumbai.

The impact of rising commercial LPG prices:
Commercial LPG is used in restaurants, hotels, sweet shops, food stalls, and catering operations. Earlier this month, in October, the price of a commercial LPG cylinder was increased by ₹62.50. Rising commercial gas prices can lead to higher operational costs for businesses that rely on it for large-scale use. For instance, if a business uses 20 commercial cylinders per month, it will have to bear an additional cost of ₹1,250, based on a price increase of ₹62.50 per cylinder. This raises the business's operating costs—a situation that becomes particularly significant during festive periods, when the demand for sweets, snacks, and catering services increases.
