- In July 2026, Google Pay recorded 7.64 billion transactions.
- Whereas Paytm made 1.90 billion transactions.

It's worth noting that 167.8 million UPI transactions were made through Meta's payment service, WhatsApp Pay, in July 2026. The total amount of these payments was approximately ₹12,957 crore. This means that WhatsApp is no longer limited to chatting and sending photos, but is also being used for payments.

If you want to send money through WhatsApp Pay, then first you have to link your bank account with the app.
