Vaibhav Suryavanshi will not debut in the second T20I as well; this statement from the coach makes everything clear.

Cricket fans around the world are eagerly awaiting Vaibhav Suryavanshi's international debut. However, Vaibhav will likely be benched for the second T20I against England. India's bowling coach has hinted at this.

Vaibhav Suryavanshi will not make his debut in the second T20I as well.

When will Vaibhav Suryavanshi play for the Indian cricket team? When will Vaibhav Suryavanshi make his international debut? Everyone has been asking this question since IPL 2026. Cricket fans and former cricketers alike want to see Vaibhav Suryavanshi play for Team India. Everyone was hoping Vaibhav Suryavanshi would get a chance in the second T20 against England, but a statement from Team India's bowling coach, Morne Morkel, has made it clear that Vaibhav will have to remain on the bench for now.

Speaking at a press conference ahead of the second T20I against England, India's bowling coach Morne Morkel said, "We must respect the fact that we have the number one batsman in T20 cricket in Abhishek Sharma. Sanju Samson was part of the World Cup-winning team. Sanju also performed brilliantly in the IPL. Therefore, as a coaching staff, it's appropriate to trust and support the players. Yes, a young player is knocking on the door, and that's encouraging, but I believe it's a good sign not just for these two players but for the entire team that we stand behind our players and trust them."

He also clarified that the team management is not in favour of making unnecessary changes to the batting order of batsmen, especially when they have performed well in the same position previously. "Ultimately, the most important thing is performance, but we don't want to move players out of their natural batting positions just for the sake of a change. So it's not as simple as saying, 'Let's play Suryavanshi,'" Morkel said.

Morkel further said, "We have to maintain faith in the players who have won the World Cup and performed brilliantly for the team in difficult conditions. Only after this we will work towards strengthening our top batting order as per the circumstances."

Although Morne Morkel did not give any specific timeframe for Vaibhav Suryavanshi's international debut, he said that Vaibhav Suryavanshi has adapted himself very well to the Indian dressing room environment and the nets routine.
