ABB India Ltd Share: Shares of engineering company ABB India Ltd are currently on a tear. Following impressive fourth quarter results, a 52% growth in the order book compared to the same quarter last year, and the announcement of a final dividend, the company's shares have surged 7%. In the last trading session, ABB India Ltd's share price reached a high of ₹6,118, a 7% increase from its previous closing price of ₹5,715.  

Shares of ABB India Limited have delivered a compounded return of 22% over the past three years, with a five-year return of 30%. ABB India Limited is a large-cap electrical stock specializing in electrification, motion, process automation, and robotics solutions for the industrial, data center, and transportation sectors. 

How was the December quarter result?

In the December quarter of the 2025-26 financial year, the company's operating revenue increased 6% year-over-year, from Rs. 3,365 crore to Rs. 3,557 crore. This represents a 7% increase from Rs. 3,311 crore in the previous quarter. Compared to the fourth quarter of last year, the company's profit declined 18%, falling from Rs. 528 crore to Rs. 433 crore. However, this is a 6% increase from Rs. 409 crore in the previous quarter.

The company attributed the decline in profit to increased material costs, rupee fluctuations, and the costs of implementing the new labor code. ABB India Limited's EBIDTA for the December quarter was ₹546 crore, compared to ₹657 crore in the same period last year.  

Dividend-paying company 

Following the quarterly results, the company also announced a final dividend of ₹29.59 per share, representing 1480% of its face value. However, this decision is still subject to shareholder approval at the 76th Annual General Meeting. The company stated that the dividend will be paid to shareholders and beneficial owners on the record date of May 2, 2026. Brokerage houses UBS and Macquarie have assigned a 'Neutral' rating to ABB Limited's shares, while Nomura has assigned a 'Reduce' rating.
