Google Voluntary Exit Package 2026: Private sector employees often fear the loss of their jobs at any time. News of large-scale layoffs frequently surfaces. Various methods are also adopted for layoffs.

One such news is coming from a globally renowned tech company. Google has offered exit packages to some of its employees. Under this, employees can leave the company of their own will. Let's find out more about this...

Google gives employees the option to exit

According to a report by Business Insider, Google's Chief Business Officer, Philipp Schindler, shared this information with employees via email. The email stated that employees in certain teams working under the company's Global Business Organization (GBO) may opt out with a severance package.

These potential exits will particularly impact GBO-related roles in the United States, including employees working in solution teams, sales, corporate development, and other related departments. However, employees associated with large customer sales teams in the US are not included in this program.

What does the Chief Business Officer say?

Philipp Schindler praised the employees' achievements in 2025, saying that thanks to these efforts, the company is starting the year on a strong footing. However, he also clarified that the environment is changing very rapidly. The pace is very fast.

Therefore, the company is offering voluntary exit packages to employees who are unable to keep up with this pace, as well as to those who are seeking new opportunities outside of Google. Previously, in 2025, CEO Sundar Pichai also offered voluntary exit packages to employees.
