Arjun Rajput, whose name is currently being widely discussed, has been selected for the Indian Under-19 team for the Sri Lanka tour. He was overjoyed when he learned of his selection. He has struggled a lot to play cricket. His father, a chole-kulcha vendor in Ludhiana, has been incredibly supportive of his son. Arjun said he also received support from former cricketer Harbhajan Singh, in whose academy he began playing cricket.
Speaking to ANI, Arjun Rajput said, "I started playing cricket at the age of 8-9. Initially, I played at the Harbhajan Academy, where the coach helped me a lot." He added that when the academy closed down, he struggled a lot as he couldn't find a place to play.
Arjun's father, a street vendor in Jalandhar, never discouraged Arjun from playing cricket, but instead supported him. Arjun explained, "When my father saw my interest in cricket, he told me to play, and he would take care of the house." He added that his mother and everyone in the family supported him.
Harbhajan Singh also helped in studies.
Arjun Rajput said that he met Harbhajan Singh several times when he was younger, where he played cricket. He added that the former cricketer also helped him with his studies. He said, "I received support from Harbhajan Singh. I played for his academy, and he also helped me with my studies. I studied on scholarship for six years."

The Indian Under-19 team and the Sri Lanka Under-19 team will play a three-match ODI series, with the first match taking place on July 4th. There will also be two multi-day matches. Arjun has been selected for the ODI team, which is captained by Yashwardhan Singh. Rahul Dravid's son, Anvay Dravid, has also been selected for this team.
