Sunil Gavaskar made a big demand to the selectors – find out which team he asked Vaibhav Suryavanshi to be included in.

Vaibhav is God's gift. Gavaskar makes a big demand from the selectors: The former Indian captain says that he is fully confident that age does not matter.

15-year-old Vaibhav Suryavanshi has impressed everyone with his blistering 97 runs off just 29 balls. Indian cricket legend Sunil Gavaskar has also heaped praise on him. During an interview on "Sports Tak," Gavaskar called Vaibhav "God's gift to Indian cricket" and advocated for his inclusion in the T20 squad for the upcoming England tour.

He said that if necessary, Sanju Samson or Abhishek Sharma could be left out to make room in the playing eleven, but Vaibhav should get a chance. Gavaskar said emotionally, "I wish the childhood within this boy never ends."

Gavaskar watched Suryavanshi's brilliant innings of 97 runs off 29 balls against Sunrisers Hyderabad in the IPL Eliminator and was impressed by the young player's fearless play, especially the way he hit a straight six off Pat Cummins. Speaking on the YouTube show 'Sports Tak', he said, "2026 will be remembered as the year of Vaibhav Suryavanshi. He is ready to play T20 Internationals. He will be selected for the T20 series against England. I mean, after this brilliant performance, he deserves to be in the team. If you still don't give him a chance, then when will you?"

The former Indian captain says he's confident that age doesn't matter, as Vaibhav is already thrashing all types of bowlers at just 15 years old. According to the report, Gavaskar said, "Don't look at his age. He's thrashing bowlers who are older than him. In fact, at 15, he's thrashing bowlers who have 15 years of international experience. Look at his fearless attitude."

However, Gavaskar said, "Yes, it will be a difficult decision to leave out. But it's a good one. When you have that choice of who to leave out, it shows the depth of talent in your country. I think he'll be included in the 15-16-man squad, but whether he'll be in the playing eleven can be decided later. But the experience you'll gain from being in that dressing room will be invaluable."
