How much was the deal worth?
Business Standard, citing sources, reported that a penthouse in The Dahlias, a super-luxury project being developed in Gurugram's DLF Phase 5, has been sold for ₹271 crore (approximately $2.7 billion). This is the most expensive deal ever recorded; such a large transaction has never occurred before in India. The penthouse measures 17,200 square feet and has a carpet area of 10,500 square feet.
Who Bought the Property?
This penthouse was purchased by an entrepreneur named Manav Sardana, owner of a company called Imperial Auto. Sources say DLF sold the property for approximately ₹1.58 lakh per square foot based on the super area. The price for the property is approximately ₹2.6 lakh per square foot based on the carpet area. However, DLF has not yet commented on the deal.
What are the expectations from the project?
DLF expects to generate revenue of over ₹40,000 crore from this entire project. The company has sold over 65 percent of the project's units so far. The price of a typical apartment in this project ranges from ₹100 crore to ₹170 crore, while penthouses cost even more.
