Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is about to give a major gift to teachers and Shikshamitras. Soon, state government teachers will receive cashless treatment, just like state employees. A cabinet meeting will be held today, Thursday, under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, in which this proposal will be approved.

A cabinet meeting is scheduled for 11 a.m. today, Thursday, at Lok Bhavan in Lucknow, the capital. This meeting will be chaired by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, and more than 29 proposals, including this one from the Education Department, are expected to be approved. According to reports, teachers and Shikshamitras will receive cashless treatment up to five lakh rupees.

Eight lakh teachers will benefit

This decision by the Yogi government will benefit over 800,000 teachers, Shiksha Mitras, and other staff in the state. Under this initiative, it is proposed to provide cashless medical treatment to teachers in non-government-aided schools under the Secondary Education Department, teachers in self-financed secondary schools, as well as teachers, Shiksha Mitras, instructors, wardens, cooks, and their dependent family members in the Basic Education Department.

CM Yogi had announced this on Teachers' Day

In fact, there has been a demand for cashless treatment within the education department in Uttar Pradesh for quite some time. In response, on Teachers' Day last year, September 5th, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath announced the provision of cashless treatment for teachers.

It is being reported that the Education Department is preparing to implement this scheme similar to the Ayushman Yojana. This facility will be completely cashless. Additionally, several other proposals, including additional land acquisition for the Jewar Airport and the recruitment of 351 Motor Vehicle Inspectors, will be discussed in the Cabinet today.
