There's important news for farmers awaiting the 24th installment of the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana. To receive the next installment, farmers must keep their Farmer ID and related records updated. In some states, Farmer ID has been made mandatory for purchasing fertilizer from government fertilizer stores.
The Uttar Pradesh government has already stated that only farmers with valid Farmer IDs and land records will receive fertilizer through the government system. This decision aims to prevent fertilizer misuse and ensure that fertilizer reaches the right farmers.
How to create Farmer ID?
To create a Farmer ID, farmers can use the state's AgriStack Farmer Registry portal. They will need to create a new user account and complete the e-KYC process. This requires their Aadhaar number and an OTP received on their Aadhaar-linked mobile number.
They will then need to fill in their personal information and enter the land survey number or plot details. After the application is verified, the digital Farmer ID and certificate can be downloaded.
When will the 24th installment be deposited?
The official date for the 24th installment of the PM Kisan Yojana has not yet been announced. According to reports, the installment is expected to be received in October or November 2026. However, the final date will only be determined after an official announcement by the central government.
Under the PM Kisan Yojana, eligible farmers receive ₹6,000 annually, distributed in three equal installments of ₹2,000 each.
How to check installment status?
Farmers should visit the official PM Kisan website and click on the 'Know Your Status' option. They can then access the information through their registration number or mobile number. After entering the OTP and captcha, the installment status, payment details, and any errors will be displayed on the screen.
