YouTube is testing a new feature for content creators

If you're a content creator, YouTube is about to introduce a very useful feature. According to reports, the company will introduce an AI-powered remix feature that will make it easier to create a new video in Shorts. It's currently being tested with English-language creators. This feature will be placed in the "Remix" menu in Shorts, allowing users to make visual changes by prompting rather than manually editing.

These two tools will be available in the feature

This feature will include two new tools called "Add Object" and "Reimagine." Add Object allows users to insert AI-generated items into any scene taken from Shorts. YouTube says this feature will work on clips up to 8 seconds long. This will allow creators to add a visual twist to their videos without the help of third-party apps.

The second tool will be called Reimagine. It will be able to turn a single frame from a Shorts into an entirely new AI-generated video. To use it, users will receive suggested prompts, and if desired, they can write their own prompts to generate a video. Users will also have the option to upload two photos for reference. This tool will be useful for creators who want to create new content from a scene in a Shorts.

The video will be linked to the original shorts.

All videos created using this feature will be linked to the original Shorts, identifying the source creator. If a creator wishes to prevent remixes from being made using their Shorts, they can disable the standard remixing option on their content. This feature is currently being tested. If successful, it could be rolled out to creators in languages other than English.
