BCCI announced cash prize money
So, let us tell you that on Tuesday (March 10), the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced a cash prize of ₹131 crore for Team India. The Indian board made the announcement in a release.
If the ICC and BCCI prize money is combined, it will exceed ₹158 crore. Team India will receive this combined prize money. This amount will be divided among the Indian team’s players and support staff.

Sharing the release on social media, the board wrote, “BCCI has announced a cash prize money of Rs 131 crore for Team India after their spectacular victory in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026.”
BCCI had given 125 crores in 2024
Last year, the Indian Board announced a prize money of ₹125 crore for Team India if they win the 2024 T20 World Cup. This year, in 2026, this amount has been increased by ₹6 crore.

The Indian team has become the first team to win the T20 World Cup three times. Previously, the Men in Blue had won the trophy in 2007 and 2024.
