New Year 2026 Delhi Metro Timings: Delhi Metro services may run late on New Year's Eve 2026. DMRC may impose restrictions to control crowds. Official timings will be released on December 30th and 31st.

If you're planning to hit the streets of Delhi on the night of December 31, 2025, to celebrate New Year's Day 2026, the Delhi Metro may prove to be the safest and most convenient option. To avoid traffic jams and parking hassles, the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has made special arrangements for passengers, as it does every year.

Although the DMRC typically announces official metro timings for New Year's Eve two to three days in advance, based on previous years' experience, it's believed that service hours will be extended this time as well. Normally, the Delhi Metro operates from 6 a.m. to 11 or 11:30 p.m. However, on December 31st, metro services may continue until 12:30 a.m. or even beyond.

Metro timings changed for December 30 and 31

According to reports, the last trains, especially on busy lines like the Blue Line, Yellow Line, and Airport Express, may run late into the night. The DMRC is expected to release the exact timetable for 2026 on December 30th or 31st.

The number of QR tickets will be limited at some stations.

In view of the heavy crowds expected on New Year's Eve, the DMRC may also implement strict crowd control measures. Exits may be restricted late at night at highly crowded stations, such as Rajiv Chowk. However, entry may remain. Additionally, the number of QR tickets may be limited at some stations.

There is a possibility of a heavy crowd at these stations.

Stations like Rajiv Chowk, Hauz Khas, Kashmere Gate, and Central Secretariat are expected to be heavily crowded. Passengers are advised to check the DMRC website, mobile app, or official social media handles for updates before traveling. Depart on time and use the nearest alternate station if necessary to ensure a safe and comfortable New Year's celebration.
