National Weather Forecast: Rain wreaks havoc in Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh, alert issued for these districts

People in many states, including Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh, are facing the wrath of rain these days. The Meteorological Department has issued a rain alert for several states today. According to the IMD, rain is expected today in seven divisions of the state: Jaipur, Bharatpur, Ajmer, Kota, Udaipur, Bikaner, and Jodhpur.
During this period, there are chances of thunder, lightning and gusty winds of 30 to 40 kilometers per hour in many districts. The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert for thunder and lightning in all the districts of eastern Rajasthan. A similar alert has been issued for Jalore and Pali in western Rajasthan. However, there is no widespread alert of heavy or very heavy rain in the state today. Moderate to heavy rain may occur at some places in the state.
The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert for thunder and lightning in eastern Rajasthan's capital Jaipur as well as Ajmer, Alwar, Banswara, Baran, Beawar, Bharatpur, Bhilwara, Bundi, Chittorgarh, Dausa, Deeg, Dholpur, Dungarpur, Jhalawar, Jhunjhunu, Karauli, Khairthal-Tijara, Kota, Kotputli-Behror, Pratapgarh, Rajsamand, Salumber, Sawai Madhopur, Sikar, Sirohi, Tonk and Udaipur.
Meanwhile, in western Rajasthan, thunderstorms and strong winds are also likely in Balotra, Barmer, Bikaner, Churu, Didwana-Kuchaman, Hanumangarh, Jaisalmer, Jalore, Jodhpur, Nagaur, Pali, Phalodi, and Sriganganagar. A yellow alert has been issued for Jalore and Pali. According to the Meteorological Department, rainfall activity may decrease in Jodhpur, Udaipur, and Ajmer divisions starting tomorrow.
