National Weather Forecast: Rain alert issued for 15 states of the country, 19 districts of Rajasthan will also be affected

Monsoon rains are currently falling in many states across the country. However, the monsoon's impact has diminished in some states. The Meteorological Department has predicted heavy rainfall in several states today. Extremely heavy rainfall is possible in some parts of Odisha today. Rainfall will also increase in Bihar, eastern Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, and Jammu and Kashmir.

The department has predicted rain in 15 states including Rajasthan today. These states include Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Bihar, Rajasthan, Goa, Jharkhand, Sikkim, Assam, Himachal, Uttarakhand, Meghalaya, Manipur, Madhya Pradesh, West Bengal, Odisha, Nagaland, Mizoram, Tripura, Gujarat, Central Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh and Arunachal Pradesh. The monsoon season has been weak in Rajasthan so far this year. According to the Meteorological Department, till now there has been 18 percent less rainfall than normal. Today the department has predicted light rain in 19 districts of the state.

Rainfall activities to increase during the next seven days
According to the Meteorological Department, due to the influence of a well-marked low pressure area formed over the northwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining north Odisha-West Bengal coast, rainfall activities are likely to increase over eastern and northeastern India as well as eastern Uttar Pradesh and western Himalayan region during the next seven days. Heavy to very heavy rainfall is likely at many places. Punjab, Haryana and Delhi may also experience cloudy skies with scattered rain in the coming days.
