The Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission (MPPSC) has released a recruitment notification for the post of Assistant Town Planner. Candidates interested in pursuing a career in urban planning can submit their applications through the official MPPSC website.

The online application process is currently open, and the last date to apply is July 31, 2026. Candidates will also be given the opportunity to make corrections in their submitted application forms by August 2, 2026. 

Age Limit

The age of the applicant will be calculated as on January 1, 2027.

To be eligible for recruitment:

Minimum age: 21 years
Maximum age: 40 years

Reserved category candidates will be eligible for age relaxation as per Madhya Pradesh Government rules.

Educational Qualification

Applicants must possess both a Bachelor's and a Master's degree in the relevant subject from a recognized university or institution in India. Candidates are advised to refer to the official notification for details on subject-specific eligibility requirements.

Salary

Candidates selected for the Assistant Town Planner post will get a monthly salary ranging from ₹56,100 to ₹1, 77,500 as per the fixed pay scale.

Selection process

The recruitment process will have two stages:

OMR-based written exam
and personal interview

There will be negative marking for incorrect answers in the written exam. Candidates who qualify the written test will be shortlisted for an interview, after which final selection will be made based on established recruitment criteria.
