By dismissing Shadman Islam in the first Test against Bangladesh in Darwin, Starc created history, becoming the highest wicket-taker among left-arm bowlers in Test cricket. Starc dismissed Shadman Islam in the ninth over of Bangladesh's first innings. Nathan Lyon caught him, taking Starc's Test wicket tally to 434. Prior to the match, Starc and Sri Lanka's legendary spinner Rangana Herath were tied with 433 wickets each. With Shadman's dismissal, Starc surpassed Herath and held the record for most Test wickets among left-arm bowlers.
Kapil Dev was also equaled
This achievement is also special for Starc because by taking his 434th wicket, he equaled India's legendary all-rounder and former captain Kapil Dev. Kapil Dev took 434 wickets in 131 Test matches, while Starc reached this milestone in just 106 Tests. Both are now tied for 11th place on the all-time list of highest wicket-takers in Test cricket.

Starc currently has 434 wickets. This means he needs just six more wickets to surpass Steyn and enter the top 10. If Starc continues to take wickets at this pace in the current Test against Bangladesh, he could achieve this feat.
Starc is a big stage player
Mitchell Starc made his international debut in October 2010. With his rapid pace, swing, and lethal yorkers, he established himself as one of the most feared fast bowlers of his generation.
