Content creator and actor Kusha Kapila has firmly dismissed social media rumours linking her to comedian Samay Raina’s show "India’s Got Latent." Responding to viral posts circulating online, Kusha clarified that the images and clips claiming she had requested an invitation to the show were AI-generated and completely false.
The clarification came after several meme pages shared manipulated content that quickly gained traction on social media, prompting Kusha to publicly address the claims and explain her side of the story.
Kusha Kapila Labels Viral AI Content as Fake
Taking to her Instagram Stories, Kusha denied reports suggesting that she had expressed interest in appearing on "India’s Got Latent," a comedy show available on YouTube and Netflix.
She stated that the viral visuals being circulated online were artificially generated and did not represent reality. Kusha also criticized meme pages for spreading misleading content and questioned why such rumours continued to be amplified.
Her response was aimed at putting an end to speculation linking her with the show.
Calls Out Meme Pages Over Misleading Narratives
Kusha also addressed the meme pages responsible for sharing the edited content, expressing frustration over the continued spread of false information.
She questioned whether she would now have to reveal details from a controversial roast event simply to justify why she reacted strongly in the past. According to her, revisiting those incidents could create fresh legal complications, and she indicated she had no interest in reopening the controversy.
Her comments reflected disappointment over the way social media narratives were being shaped through manipulated content.
Opens Up About the 2024 Roast Controversy
While responding to the latest rumours, Kusha also revisited the controversy surrounding her appearance at Ashish Solanki's "Pretty Good Roast Show" in 2024, where Samay Raina was one of the panelists.
She clarified several points regarding her participation, stating that:
- No script was shared before the event.
- No formal contract was signed.
- No jokes were disclosed in advance.
- She had no idea about the nature of the jokes that would be made during the roast.
According to Kusha, she agreed to participate without knowing the extent of the content that would be directed at her.
Says the Jokes Crossed the Line
Kusha reiterated that many of the jokes made about her during the roast were deeply offensive and should have been edited out before publication.
She maintained that the content crossed acceptable boundaries and continued to stand by her earlier criticism of the episode.
The actor said that the experience had a significant emotional impact on her and that she required considerable time to recover from the incident.
Emotional Impact After the Show
Speaking candidly about the aftermath of the roast, Kusha revealed that the experience affected her mental well-being.
She shared that she needed time and professional therapy to overcome the embarrassment and emotional distress caused by the episode. According to her, the humiliation she experienced stayed with her long after the event concluded.
Kusha also disclosed that following the show, she chose to block both Samay Raina and Ashish Solanki, distancing herself from those involved in the event.
Denies Any Association With ‘India’s Got Latent’
Kusha also dismissed another rumour claiming she had mocked the controversy involving Ranveer Allahbadia during the first season of "India’s Got Latent."
She stated that these claims were entirely baseless and clarified that she had never made such remarks.
Additionally, she revealed that although several media outlets had approached her for comments against Samay Raina during recent controversies, she deliberately chose not to speak publicly against him.
At the same time, she made it clear that she is no longer friends with Samay Raina and emphasized that she has never appeared on "India’s Got Latent."
AI-Generated Content Sparks Fresh Debate
The incident has once again highlighted growing concerns over the misuse of artificial intelligence to create misleading images and videos featuring public personalities.
As AI-generated content becomes increasingly realistic, celebrities and content creators continue to face challenges arising from manipulated visuals that can quickly spread across social media platforms.
Kusha Kapila's clarification serves as a reminder that users should verify the authenticity of viral content before accepting or sharing it, particularly when AI-generated media is involved.
