Kojagari Laxmi Puja 2025: Purnima is considered to be the birth date of Goddess Lakshmi. Kojagari Purnima is the festival of Kojagiri Lakshmi Puja. Which is celebrated on the full moon day of Ashwin month. It is also called Sharad Purnima. Kojagari Purnima will be celebrated on 6 October.
Just like Diwali , Goddess Lakshmi is worshipped on this day. It is believed that on Kojagari Purnima, Goddess Lakshmi comes to roam on the earth and removes the troubles of the devotees.

Kojagari Puja Significance
According to Hindu religion, Goddess Lakshmi comes to earth on this night and sees who is staying awake all night, hence it is called 'Kojagari'. Mahalakshmi blesses the person who stays awake all night. The Goddess blesses him with wealth and prosperity. Goddess Lakshmi has eight forms, meditating on any of these forms brings blessings of Goddess Lakshmi. The eight forms of Goddess Lakshmi are Dhanalakshmi, Dhanya Lakshmi, Rajalakshmi, Vaibhavlakshmi, Aishwarya Lakshmi, Santan Lakshmi, Kamala Lakshmi and Vijay Lakshmi.
On this day, along with worshipping Goddess Lakshmi with rituals, Indra is also worshipped, which opens the doors of wealth for the person worshipping. Amrit (nectar) rains from the moon, so worshipping the moon is considered important.

According to Skanda Purana, Kojagari Puja is the best fast. By following it properly, even an ordinary person attains salvation and enjoys prosperity, health and sons and grandsons in this life as well as in the next births.
